Camp Chet exhorts, educates, and encourages individuals and groups in the practice of biblical stewardship and creation care through outdoor camping, team-building experiences, immersive forest encounters, family and youth camps, group retreats, and related programs. This includes offering educational classes and workshops on foraging and survival skills, permaculture, animal husbandry, and similar subjects, all conducted in a manner that nurtures spiritual growth, gratitude for God’s creation, and faithful living, while also educating the broader public about these practices and their benefits.
We can accomodate a daypass for 1 person who wants quiet separation from all distractions up to groups that want to host a larger event in a rustic natural environment over several days. We have access to many miles of marked hiking and mountain biking trails on over 900 acres of the Cumberland Plateau just north of Chattanooga TN and 2 hours south of Nashville and Knoxville.
While we focus on a close connection with nature, a few well insulated off-grid cabins at Fry Camp (Pepoon, Clark, and Kolts) are available as well as places for RVs and of course, tents and primitive camping spots. Other amenities may include a grill and fire pit, as well as a nearby port-o-potty and pavilion.
Bowen Chapel is a beautiful outdoor event area that can accommodate up to 100 people with an outdoor chapel feel.
Close proximity to Chattanooga and many off-site parks, waterfalls, trails and activities make this an ideal place to center an even broader event that includes off-site activities.
